I have a wonderful, one-year old Siberian color point. I researched before selecting a kitten and chose the Siberian because they are considered hypo-allergenic and I was told they only shed twice a year at the season change. That has not been the case! My little guys sheds HORRIBLY. I faithfully brush him every day and I still have fur everwhere. He is fed only organic, grain-free food (Evo) and organic treats. My vet has suggested fish oil, but that doesn't seem to be helping. I just watched a program on Animal Planet, "Cats 101" and they stated Siberians shed a great deal. Have any Siberian owners experienced this? If so, has anything helped? I don't understand how cattery websites can tout this cat as a "non-shedder" when they shed like they do, but I don't know if I have an unusual case here.
