I have a set of 12 Georgian goblets. They are clearly make with the leopard (with crown), figure of George 111 (left facing for him, right for me), a lower case "t", and the unmistakable maker's mark of John Parker & Edward Wakelin. Unless I miss my guess, the marks correspond to London, 1794. However, the Parker Wakelin partnership lasted from 1760 to 1776. Apparently both men were retired and dead long before the goblets were presented for assay. The marks are very clear. Is there explanation for this mystery. Thanks so much for your help.

Sincerely;

Michael
