I have a question about the date that fontaine ferry was opened. Everything that I have read stated that it opened in 1905. I have a copy of a Fontaine Ferry Park drawing/sketch that gives the years in operation from 1899-1969. Do you know why there is a difference of 6 years from reported opening to what is on the sketch? Did the person who drew the sketch totally miss the mark?
