I have a one year old longhorn heifer. Her horn growth was doing well, except this summer her right horn seems to have shrunk. Also the hair around the base seems to have receded a little. Longhorns are new to me, does anyone have any advice?

i think if you have your local vet check her out he should be able to tell you whats wrong. you might also think about feeding her some mineral and maybe have the vet cut her horns.
