I have a chance to get a 17.2 hands - 1800 lb - 6 yr old Percheron gelding.
He has a stiff hock...supposedly from a kick from another horse.
The vet suggested no heavy work any more without surgery...otherwise use lightly.
The owner opted to sell him....hence my situation.
This fell is a beautiful animal and I want a horse for pleasure only. I also have the time and patience to help him through his problem.
My question is : For an animal this size...what would you suggest for a daily feeding regimen. I want what is best for this fella.
Thank you
