I have a Suzuki Wagon R+ year 1999. I have had it for 8 years now. Yesterday I drove it for about 4 miles then parked. When I came back to the car and started it; it would not stay in 2nd Gear. It kept on jumping out when driving. In the end I had to drive it back home by avoiding the 2nd Gear; going striaght from 1st to 3rd or 3rd to 1st. About an hour into the drive I did try going back into 2nd gear and it seemed to stop jumping out for the rest of the journey.

This morning when I started the car it started again jumping out of the 2nd gear every time I went into it. I have spoken to a few people who know a few things about machanics and have said it might not just be the gears that are on the way out. It could be the gearbox spring that needs adjusting or maybe there is not enough gear box oil in the gear box?

Can anyone offer any advice?
