I have a 2001 2500HD Duramax that is leaking transmission fluid betewwn the transmission and the transfer case any ideas

The tailhousings always crack because of a bad u-joint on the rear shaft.

The bolts between transmission and transfer case may have come loose just had the same problem I had to replace the seal between the two to fix the leak.
