I have a 1988 Bronco II 4x4 that I want to swap out the 2.9L 5spd with a 4.0L automatic. Has any one done such a conversion?

No but the bronco sounds nice put it on big wheels you'll get more money for it im a huge car guy

I intend to put a lift kit on it along with some BIG wheels. After this February's back to back blizzards here in Oklahoma where we had 15" to 20" of snow, I was house bound for a week at a time. I need something that can get me through the snow. Snow plows you ask? Right - I think the county has 2 - I never saw one!
