I have a 1983 Mercedes 300SD 367,000 miles runs like a top and everything works including the clock. My question is that I plug my Garman GPS into the cigarette lighter and it powers up for about 30 seconds and then cuts out. I thought the lighter popped out when it got up to temperature not the receptical being on a timer?
