I have a 1977 model citori two barrel set, 12 - full and modified chokes and 20 - improved cylinder and modified. I use the 12 gauge set up upland bird hunting in South Dakota. As you may know you must use steel shot when hunting on any public lands. For years I have use steel shot, 6's and 4's in this gun. I cannot notice any damage to the full choke barell but folks tell me I should not be shooting steel through it. I guess I have two questions: 1) is it okay to do this? and 2) if not, can I have this older citori taped for steel capable screw in chokes?
