I have a 1961 Pontiac Catalina with a transmission problem. When I come to a stop,the transmission stays in second gear and kills the engine. I have repaired many transmissions in the last 51 years but this is one I am not familiar with.I feel it is a vale body problem - 2-1shift valve or possibly governor sticking. It works fine when shifted manually. Any help would appreciated.
