I had an enlightenment experience once, in which lifes mysteries were revealed to me. i had never sought out any religous ideals, i still havn't, my life hasn't changed in anyway, its as mundane now as it was back then almost 20 years ago. but... and heres the rub...i had it.. 100 percent. as much as i would love to share my experience with you, i shant, because it wont change anything,i could talk a bit cryptic like some bullshitters you find on these forums, but for what purpose..so i'll finish off by telling you all you need to know. nobody, in fact nothing dies, only alters, and heres the best bit, theres nothing to worry about. trust me... ive been there.

Hi there,
Interesting.Ah yes , the real experience sometimes or most of the times do not coincide with what is described in the books particularly in the religion books. :)

Hi, I think your instinct not to share the details of your enlightening experience was right. Your conviction is the purer for it.

Although the clues are all around us no matter how mundane our lives, and no matter that men have tried to communicate the wisdom that they have gained through books and teachings, the sad fact remains that every man must find his own truth. Viewed secondhand even the greatest truths become mere opinions.

There is only one truth, of course, but the paths to it are a billionfold and each must find his own way.

As you say, once discovered, this realisation of truth may not change the way you live but it does change who you are.
