I can't believe that he didn't crack and get his pills back. He was strong until the end. This book was really good and I hated for some of the loose ends to not tye up all the way.

I know right? I don't think that I could have done that, or be that strong. But even if they had put the pills in his pocket, and he didn't break, he wouldn't have been able to use them. I would why he didn't crawl around and find them when they left. His hands were tied in the front, he could have bent down and wriggled around till he had found them and been able to take some. I just don't he tryed enough. HIs male pride got in the way of fighting for his life. Though I admire his strength and perserverance, he should have cracked and did what they wanted for his survival, to be there for his son. A little humiliation doesn't kill you.

Well, if he loved his wife and future second son, I think that he should (or would) have fought to stay alive. I wonder how David feels about killing his own father?
