I am trying to research a little known Indian battle that supposedly occurred on the North Shore of Lake Superior on a cliff, Palisade Head. This battle was between the Ojibwe (Chippewa) indians who occupied the cliff and Sioux indians who were defeated (massacred) in their canoes on Lake Superior below. If any has or could direct me to any info this, I would GREATLY appreciate it.
