I am struggling getting a bad evaporator replaced as it was supposedly relaced four months ago. My service dealer has since been removed as a Chrysler dealer. The knew dealer removed the old evaporator and it is definitely not knew. He cannot warrant this part because the old dealer charged it against my warranty,so he is afraid Crysler will not pay for another evaporator since it was supposedly knew. My question is; are there engineering marks or numbers on mopar parts that might help me answer the question as to whether the original part was actually replaced.
