I am seriously considering buying a Fire Salamander, but want to make sure that I know everything about caring for them before I get one. I have read numerous sources saying that if you are going to hold them, you need to wash your hands before and after holding them, but there is no mention on what you should use to wash yourself with.

Is there any sort of soap i should avoid when handling the Salamanders or chemicals that would irratate their skin?
