I am restoring my Vespa 400 and I want to take the front end out. I have the steering wheel and rack assembly out. I have the center 4 bolts out of the aluminum block connecting the 2 halves of the lower suspension out. I have the bushings off the rod connecting the 2 lower suspension halves. How do I get the strut/shock units out? I am doing a bare body restoration and do not want to leave the old stuff in. Plus there must have been a provision for servicing them. I cannot see how to get the shocks out. Help!
I have downloaded the service manual and the parts manual and they say "remove ", no detail.
