I am not a scientist or clever clogs in that respect at all, just interested in - stuff.

I was thinking a few months ago about sound and how we are told that it travels in waves and it is jst kind of bunched up batches of air, when I started to to wonder if there is or could be such a thing as a sound molecule (if this is already known or sounds stupid please don't laugh - as I say I'm not a scientist - just interested).
Could there be different molecules that are related but seperate and individual for different sounds - ie Bass or high pitch etc that are activated by different pressures or forces being put upon them. Maybe they can act seperatley or like to stick together a bit like water molecules.
Unless they are activated they sit waiting, kind of inert.
Maybe it could have something to do with dark matter in space ie the molecules are helping to hold things together.

Daft idea ?

Darren.
