Blue Star Wicca

I am new to studying Wiccan and have not chosen a particular path. I was however in a spiritual shop and was drawn to a septegram pendant. I purchased it and was wondering if it is OK for me to wear it with out belonging to a Coven?

~Blessings~

Hi, Pam.
I'm a 3rd degree Blue Star Priestess from the Minneapolis area. Sorry it took so long for one of us to stumble upon your question. If you are interested in learning more about Blue Star wicca, please go to http://www.bluestarwicca.org/ and click on one of the coven websites.

Regarding wearing the septegram without Blue Star affiliation, Blue Star doesn't "own" the septegram. We simply use it because it corresponds well with our teachings (our 7 tenets of faith, for example). The septegram is also known as the Pleadian Star, and is associated with the Faerie Realm as well.

Some Blue Star initiates have a blue septegram tattoo, and that's one way you can identify us. We don't require tattooing, of course, but as our course of study is very comprehensive, most people who reach initiation choose to get the tattoo.

If you find yourself drawn to the septegram, then it might be worth your while to see if that's a "poke" from the universe that Blue Star is something to check out. Any of the covens listed on the above linked website can answer your questions. I'm also available at kristinbarton2003@yahoo.com, if you'd like to talk with me personally.
Blessed Be,
Kristin (Lady Wren)
