I am interested in what the kitchens were like in the camps. My mother was in Auschwitz and other camps. One reason she survived is that she had a friend who worked in the kitchen and gave my mother horse meat. This made a big impression on her in her adult life when she talked about her internment. I would like to know what is was like in those kitchens, what kind of "cooking" was going on - I guess for the commandants of the camps there was some good food - but for the prisoners...
