I am interested in tracing my roots. Our family is said to hail from an illegitimate child of Lord Cahrles Somerset by a "coloured" woman during his governing of the Cape Colony. I need to know if someone can shed some light on this and where I can get more information on this.

There a are distinct resemblances to him thorughout our family, especially the men.

There have also been references made to Charles Mellon Lundall. I don't know about this, but this is recent information I have received from some Lundall's.

My grandfather faught in the 2nd World War, he was Allan Lundall, born around 1899, son of this said illegitimate child would have been born between 1800-1820.
