I am interested in the Kittle or Kettle History in Tygart Valley. Rutsjert Richard "dirck" Kittle (Kettle) in mentioned in Withers border Warfare page 311 as persuing the Indians after a raid in the Laeading Creek area. His son Abraham married Chritina Westfall in New York before the family came down to tygart's Valley. Herbert Richard Kittle (Kettle) married one of the Stalnaker girls. Samuel Kittle Married Jerusha Westfall. Herbert Richard Abrahams son is listed as an Indian Scout.
