I am interested in finding out about the life of Mercedes "Chea" Mirabal after the death of her daughters, the "Butterflies." There is a lot of info about the daughters but I can;t seem to find anything about the mother except for her role in the novel and film adaptation. I know she lived 20 years after her daughter's deaths. Was she involved in any social activism? Did she raise her grandchildren?
