M1917 Enfield rifle

I am considering buying an Eddystone M1917 rifle that has been re-worked at least once in its life, but it still has the correct barrel dated 9-17. The serial number is in the 2xxx range. The park finish is good, bore is dark with good rifling and the stock is OK. I was wondering if it might be worth a little more than a later dated rifle in the same condition simply because it was made during the first month of production?

Thanks
Jon
