I am considering a catahoula leapard mix from an animal rescue shelter. it is four months old. We have several young children and live on several acres of land. we also have chickens, a goat, and a pig. Would this be a good dog for us?

We've had a catahoula (purebred) we rescued from the dog pound for over two years. Need lots of attention and exercise, but great family dog. Very loving and affectionate. Loves my 2 1/2 year old grandson. When he comes to visit they are inseperable. Took some time to socialize him with other dogs (he could be quite aggressive), but now gets along well with other dogs as long as you take time to get them aquainted.
