I am buying a home with a very small front yard and there is a phone pole directly next to the driveway limiting my ability to extend the drive to widen it. The pole has a guy wire straight out from it stretching across half the front of the yard also limiting me from putting a parking area right in front of the home. The road is very narrow and parking on the street would not be workable. Would it be possible to have the guy wire removed - I notice not all poles have them, so why does mine have to?
