I am a female 55 and currently receiving Social Security Disability. The only form insurance I currently possess is Medicare, and my partner (56 years of age, male)and works for the State of California. Is it possible for me to take part in his medical and dental plans through the Domestic Partnership Act even though neither of us are 62. I had heard that when Social Security is in the picture, is is allowed. Anyone out there know. Thank you in advance for you help as I am due to have a major surgery and do not have the 20%+ to pay the medical providers.
