I am 22yrs. old and I am about to join the U.S. AirForce. I am interested in joining the military for many reasons. One of the main perks is the education benefits. From working as a nursing tech for two years, I learned what it is I want to eventually specialize in. I want to pursue a career in Neuropsychiatry. I currently do not have a college education but only my high school diploma. I would like to hear any advice as to how to go about this once I am in the armed forces. I am told that I may not be able to recieve a medical position when I enter because I currently do not have a degree. How should I pursue my goal within the AirForce?

Join the AF in the medical field, then go for the "Physicians Assistant" postion which can eventually open doors to a medical degree. Don't goof-off, study, study, study. The AF will most certainly want to help you with your education.
Better have a clean record and your weight will be a big consideration. If you're over weight, get the fat off, now!

You should know that the Air Force is the most difficult military service to get into. Historically the Air Force has turned enlistees away since the end of the Korean War, 1949 - 1954. If you mess-up they'll tell you to pack your bags and hit the road!
