I recently inherited a Young AMerica Double Action Solid Frame centerfire revolver from my mother, the revolver previously was owned by my grandmother. It is a .22 caliber with a 2 1/2 barrel. I am interested in any other information on this revolver such as manufacturing date
I think these were made betwen 1884 and 1941 but how do I narrow it down. There is a serial number. It is in good condition.

A couple of quick web sites:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H_&_R_Firearms

The second has more specific info that should get you started down the right track.
