Howdy,
In the power supply section of the 101, there is a component labeled L-1. It does not appear on the schematic in the service noyes. In the service notes, there is an R-8 1 ohm resistor that is not on the PCB. Could the L-1 on the PCB actually be R-8? Or is it a mystery component? I think this is a DC to DC converter toget both +4.5v and 16v. So, what is the value of L-1 suppose to be? Or is it a 1/2 watt resistor. In any case, this seems to be what caused the CPU to fail as T-1 is cracked, L-1 smokes when you apply power, and nothing on the synth seems to work. Thanx
