My father typed hundred of pages with an old dirty typewriter, the characters have faded beyond OCR capabilities.

I wonder whether any participant would have the chemical knowledge of the chemical to be used to reveal or enhance the faded script.

I assume this would be a run of the mill knowledge for a Police Scientific Laboratory and for those studying old documents.

I thank you in advance with a bit of shame added as I have as agronomist a bit of chemical knowledge yet appear to be unable to even find the beginning of an answer.

It is not a problem the solution of which will change humanity, father typed about French life and did not hide any secret in his paragraphs.
