The Captain Midnight radio serial signed up Secret Squadron members annually, since Ovaltine took up sponsorship in late 1940. The cipher devices, the Code-O-Graphs, were intended to be issued every year. The attack onPearl Harbor imposed resdtrictions on manufacturing materials, and novelties like rafio premiums were notanufactured through much of the war. The 1942 Code-O-Grsph was issued before the attack, and it was used through much of 1944' In one sense, there were no "1943 Secret Squadron members," if one used the year model Code-O-Graph, as one wasn't issued in 1943. However, it could be srgued that those with the 1942 Code-O-Graphs were Secret Squadron members in 1943. The next available Code-O=-Graph was the 1945 model, made in late 1944.
