Normally with any species of animal the pups will stay with their mother until the mother pushes them off on their own. However, with pack animals, they can end up staying with their mother until one or the other dies or is forced away.

Thank you for the info. I live in Florida and have a family of red foxes behind the house. They arrived a year ago with a litter of pups. Now the juveniles are running around like crazy. I have a feeling that new arrivals will be soon.
