Agriculture relied primarily on manual labor until the full effect of the 'Industrial Revolution' started to change the system. The labor saving machinery developed rapidly after the 'Agricultural Reforms' caused the.. Labor Costs to RISE.. The resulting 'Automation' rapidly progressed into a substantial overall rise in productivity and unprecedented prosperity, enjoyed by no other Nation. The resulting Exports of produce, natural resources and other manufactured products were the backbone of the U.S. economy. The USA was NOT a debtor Nation.. back then. DaFlikkers
