A Maintenance Supervisor on a Drilling Platform...Is called the TOOL PUSHER...He is the Boss of the crew that repairs and maintains the drilling rig out in the field and when it is at work.His responsibilities are to service the draw works, service the mud pumps,Tally the Drill collars, and the drilling pipe,Check that the entire Drilling rig is safe to operate, and is mechanically sound, Grease all the bearings, Check the gear oil in the rotary table..ETC.And when something breaks on the drilling rig, HE is responsible to get a crew out to the well location to do all the needed repairs to the drilling rig and get it back to working order.
