I know how you feel. My ball got away from me 2 days before Christmas and I looked everywhere and couldn't find him. I pulled the stove drawer from under the oven and there he was ONLY as I reached in to get him, he crawled into a space between the inner wall of the oven where the insulation is and the outer wall of the oven. I kept the drawer out and put a light in thinking that the light would draw him out. Wrong! He stayed in the oven for 3 days. I turned on the oven thinking the warmth would drive him out but he must have liked it. The oven was not high enough to cook him!

My problem was the fact that I couldn't know for sure if he was still in the oven wall or had moved to another location during the night. After the 4th day and not being able to bake or cook for Christmas, I was heartsick.

While I was away shopping, my son decided to fry bacon on the front burner not even thinking about my ball. When I got home and smelled the bacon, I was really concerned but could do nothing about it. After a few minutes,I started to take my husband's medication from the bottles and put them into the daily pill box; and in doing so, some of the pills fell into the stove burner plates. I took the burners out to reach in to get the pills and there was my ball python all curled up under one of the back burners.

I was so relieved and pulled him out and hugged him for an hour. Now anytime he crawls away, I automatically pull out the stove drawer first. You may look there. Also, this is not the first time he has gotten away from me and each time after a few days I find him. Give your snake some time, he will come out when he is hungry.

If you have a space heater or a heating pad get it and put it not to far from an open box (if space heater) or right under the box(if heating pad)make sure everything (but your fridge of course) is off and make sure the heat is on all night, but be sure not to set it too high. by morning if your snake isnt in the nice warm box that means 1 of 3 things
1 it got outside
2 its hiding somewhere in or near a hotter source like an oven or under the fridge
3 he is hiding under his water bowl (if they could get under it)
the reason i say 3 is cuz i was sure my snake got out then my sister went to change the water and the snake crawled onto her wrist from a ledge that was under the bowl we got with the tank
if you really want to see if it did get outside put flour near the box i mentioned earlier to see if it even tried slithering near it
if this doesnt help try these http://pet-snakes.com/help-snake-escaped

Well you shouldn't have to worry that much if you have kids. And if you have a habit of leaving the toilet seat up , then their is a chance that it could've got flushed without noticing. If you have a pile of clothes somewhere then check there , you might need to look in your laundry room though. Now he can survive on mice and insects but as soon as you find him then you need to take him to the closest pet store there is .
