Hello,
I have a 3 yr old male boxer who has the same issue. My vet put him on clomicalm. This has helped a bunch. It's a medication for anxiety, which allows for the owner to train and show the dog that being home alone or that sleeping alone is ok. It has also helped with his overall demeanor. He is not as sqiddish or jumpy. Take him to your vet and ask about medication.
