Hi ive just bought a boat with a essex v6 engine in her the starter seems to be jammed is this common what could cause this can thay be serviced and how can i test the starter once its out cheers derek plymouth

Hey, I bought boat with same engine and i cant seem to overcome Carb auto choke and was wondering if you are using manual 38DGMS or auto choke 38DGAS what carb you are running? connect to baattery and see if it cranks i think well thats what my father said
