Hi, i am currently trying to get more efficiency from my woodburnin stove which basically involves getting it to convect.
I need to know the best materials to use ie copper or galvanised tin for example, and also what is the best gap to have between the stove and the second (convecting) skin and what height should the bottom of the 2nd skin be from the floor.
Many thanks in advance
Richard

The height of the flue pipe, the fan inside it, (being that there is one although it is unnecessary). The only way to attain a higher efficiency, is to adjust the draft coming in the vents on the wood burning stove and the draft through the flue pipe. Never burn pine due to the reisin that catches in the flue pipe, and be sure that the flue pipe has been cleaned.
