Hi,

I live in NH and have enjoyed watching numerous American Goldfinch at my feeders again this year. Suddenly, about a week ago, they all but disappeared with only a handful to be seen. They've always stayed throughout the winter. I am wondering if that pattern may have changed, or if something else has happened to them? Would you know when migration would begin from this area? It seems September might be a bit early to me. Thank you for whatever knowledge you might have on this subject.
