Hi I was a Crew chief on a C123K from dec 1968 to Dec 1969 stationed at Ton Son Nhut airbase , Saigon with the 19th Special operations Squadron MY question is I cannot remember if the C123K had a Battery on the Aircraft, I remember the APU located over the right side wheel well, ( and the pull cord always broke or would not retract) We used external power units while working on the Aircraft, but for the life of me I do not remember if the Aircraft had a Battery to start the APU, or the Aircraft, can anyone tell me if yes or no to the Battery and where was it located if any
