Hi, I am new, and I have always been against guns. I have changed my thinking about them, and I now have two guns. My mother left me an older Raven, and my son and some friends have told me, these guns are not safe to shoot and I would like to know if that is true. This gun would be really nice to carry in my purse. Cindy
