Hi I am after information of a relative by the name Jan Timmermans. He was apparently involved in the resistance in Limburg during WW11. He was born 24 Sept 1894 and died 30 Jan 1970. He and his wife Maria Hubertina Alezandria van Rooijen looked after refugees under their basement. Jan was involved with the Dutch Labor Party and a radio station named VALA. In 1942 he was given books by the union (I think Railway Union) in honour of his progressive work.

I was wanting to know more about his work with the resistance, the radio station and what the progressive work was that he did and was honoured for. His wife Maria was affectionately called 'Frau Red' or ' Roodmoose'

thanks Jenny J
