Hi I have a huge Monstera growing outside next to my patio but it needs to be cut back. Can I just saw off the stem at any height and will it start sprouting again

I have a huge Monstera growing outside next to my patio but it needs to be cut back. Can I just saw off the stem at any height and will it start sprouting again - also di I leave the aerial roots on or not?
