Hi

I built a peptide using pymol. When I labelled the residues of this peptide they are numbered from 2 not from 1 i.e. first residue in my peptide is ALA but is is labelled as ALA-2 not ALA-1.

I want to know why it is not labelled as ALA-1 as it is the first residue?
