Hi.

I am a Junior QS just about to enter the workforce. My question is........

Can the contractors QS be responsible for the full take off and pricing of a project from the drawings or is s/he solely responsible for the pricing?

I know generally the consultant QS measures the drawings and then passes the measured work onto the contractor for pricing.

But is the above question possible and if so under what circumstances and under what types of contract?
