Help!!!

I'm trying to copy data with hyperlinks into an office for the Mac Excel spreadsheet using the copy and paste feature. Each time I paste the data it appears as text with no link capability. I've tried paste special but that doesn't work either (no options to paste except as text). This process works fine when copying and pasting to any windows version of excel. Is there a work around for Excel for Mac??????
