Hello to all,
I am new in the forum. I own with a friend, in Italy, a Robin DR340 (1968) having an O320E2A engine with a fixed pitch prop. Lycoming declares that this series of engine is specific only for fixed pitch prop as the crank is not machined inside to place a special device 8plug) for a variable pitch prop.
I may check if, by chance the crank is machuined (it apperas that some were installed anyway by Lyc): if so there should be no major problems.
On the other hand, should the crank not be machined: what can we do? is there any experience to convert this engine into a variable pitch prop ? (of course without changing the crank!)
