Hello everyboby, this is my first posting.

I have recently returned from a holiday in Olu Deniz, Turkey and am trying to identify a number of species of antlion adults that I saw flying. The most numerous had a relatively short body and wingspan of about 5cm. The forewings were black and white in colour and semi-transparent, while the hindwings had evolved into two semi-rigid streamers, each of about 5cm in length.

The second species looked very much like a large damselfly just like the photo on your homepage.

The third was absolutly bizarre in appearance. It was enormous, with an estimated wingspan of 10cm and had short, curved antennae. The wings were transparent with black markings and were held folded back like a tent over the body when at rest. The body was long, with black and yellow markings and had two curved yellowish prongs at the end

Thank you for your attention,

Vince
