Hello
I'm VERY new to image J and I am looking to find a way to count neuron somas in a very noisy background. While somas can be seen, they are fuzed with lots of neuron fibers in the background, so Image J cell count plug in cannot pick them out. I have no individually separated, isolated circular cells.

is there any method to pick my somas out from stained brain slices?

this is my picture. THANK YOU

Hi, hihan
I think your image is not appropriate for counting cells. You may try higher magnification and a stain that best produce the neuron somas.
Best regards.
